Top Three Marriage Tips To Help You Beat The Odds

Every girl dreams of having the perfect wedding day. And then there’s the actual day-to-day existence of your marriage.

Face it, being married and monogamous can get pretty monotonous being with the same person, day in, day out, week after week, month after month, year after year…until death do you part.

So, how do you keep things harmonious and smooth along this long and often bumpy road through life together?

Here are the top three tips to beat the odds:

1. Be each other’s best friend

They say opposites attract, and sometimes they get married to each other. So how do opposites become each other’s best friend? By alienating and driving away all of your spouse’s other friends with all your opposing views about absolutely everything because you are….the opposite! If you have no other friends left, you are now, by default, each other’s best friend.

2. Stay together for the children

Sure, it’s a cliché, but it works. It is, indeed, a fact that it is easier to stay together for the children. So have some children, the more children you have, the easier it is to stay together. Why? The children will keep you so busy, you won’t have time to talk to each other.

3. Never go to bed angry

This tip is an oldie but a goodie, a marriage tip classic. It is a great tip to never go to bed angry, but, what they don’t tell you is, you better make a big pot of coffee, because you are going to be up all night, a lot! Keeling over from exhaustion does not count as going to bed angry. You can start fighting all over again fresh when you wake up in the morning. And, believe me, you will. Why? Because it’s all your fault, just admit it already, and then we can finally get some sleep.
